CONFLICT MANAGEMENT AND DEALING WITH AGGRESSION
Sadly conflict and aggression are on the increase and the likelihood of an individual being the centre of someone's aggression is all too commonplace. Equipping staff and management with the skills and principles of how to deal with aggressive and confrontational outbursts is a vital and protective tool. Our Chief Instructor Clive has almost 35 years of frontline experience in secure services dealing with aggressive individuals and face to face confrontation as a trained negotiator and Registered Mental Health Nurse Manager. Whilst undertaking this work he was awarded a Butler Trust Award by HRH Princess Anne at Buckingham Palace for his work in dealing with confrontational and aggressive individuals. He is trained in using de-escalation skills. body language, psychosocial and cognitive behavioural interventions. |
