2 DAY FULL FIRST AID AT WORK (REFRESHER) COURSE

This 2 day training course is suitable for employers who have identified a requirement for Full First Aid at Work appointed persons in their First Aid Needs Assessment. 

The focus of this 2 day refresher course is on preventing situations from becoming worse and learning the vital life saving skills that a trained Emergency First Aider can use until help arrives.

Our instructors deliver dynamic courses that relate the subjects being taught to real life situations, which makes our training more applicable to your first aiders.

Because of the wide spread availability of this course, it has also become a popular option for anyone requiring basic first aid training for variety situations outside the workplace.

BLENDED LEARNING OPTION AVAILABLE ON THE 2 DAY FFAW REFRESHER COURSE COMPLETE DAY 1 ONLINE THROUGH OUR ONLINE PORTAL AT YOU OWN PACE.


PLEASE note the 2 day refresher course is only available to those attendees who have attended and passed a 3 day full first aid at work courseTHAT IS no more than 28 DAYS OUT OF DATE.

The course content includes: Understanding the role of the first-aider including reference to:
  1. the importance of preventing cross-infection;
  2. the need for recording incidents and actions;
  3. use of available equipment;
  • Assessing the situation and circumstances in order to act safely, promptly and effectively in an emergency
  • Administering first aid to a casualty who is unconscious (including seizure)
  • Administering cardiopulmonary resuscitation to an Adult, Child and Baby
  • Administering first aid to a casualty who is choking
  • Administering first aid to a casualty who is wounded and bleeding BOTH MINOR AND MAJOR
  • Use of a Defibrillator
  • Administering first aid to a casualty who is suffering from shock
  • Providing appropriate first aid for minor injuries
Administering First Aid to a casualty with:
  1. injuries to bones, muscles and joints, including suspected spinal injuries
  2. chest injuries
  3. burns and scalds
  4. eye injuries
  5. sudden poisoning
  6. anaphylactic shock
Recognising the presence of major illness and providing appropriate First Aid (including heart attack, stroke, epilepsy, asthma, diabetes)
